Director of Data & Software Engineering at AES Africa

I am currently working with a company that is on the lookout for the Director of Data Engineering. The company is one of SA's finest and most efficient e-commerce companies.

This is a rare opportunity and not one to be missed for the Software Development Manager that's looking to take a new, higher step, challeniging him/herself.

The purpose of this role, is to direct and implement the strategic vision and vlaue of the company's data as well the company's role as a revenue driver. You will be managing multiple Software Engineering teams in their mission to achieve company goals.

Requirements (Skills)

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Statistics and Mathematics required.
• 10+ Years Domain experience essential.
• 5+ years of Management experience (in Software Development and with teams)
• Thorough data platform building experience.
• Understanding business needs as well as understanding the technical aspects of Data.
• Experience in developing projects from start, to finish and being able to break down complex problems then finding solutions from past experience.
