Director Programs at CSG International

We are currently looking for an accomplished Program Director to be based in South Africa – Johannesburg. Reporting to MTN account’s Client Delivery Executive (CDE), the Director will be responsible for Program Delivery within the MTN account including client management in conjunction with CDE, governance and the successful delivery of the objectives of the program, including delivery of various phases of the program on time, in budget, at quality and within targeted margins.

Position Details

Key Outputs & Accountabilities

• Deliver identified high-risk major technology programs within budget and time requirements.
• Accountability for client stakeholder’s management, project schedules, quality requirements, resource allocation, risk, requirements & change
• Manage client engagement and relationships while providing overall leadership to project teams
• Realization of the client expected benefits
• Assist the existing Professional Services teams in providing guidance, recommendations or recovery plans on challenging client engagements with significant delivery, financial or commercial exposure and risk.

Primary Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing stakeholders CSG/MTN
• Planning and designing the programme and proactively monitoring its overall progress, resolving issues and initiating corrective action as appropriate
• Ensuring that the delivery of new products or services from the projects is to the appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the programme plan and programme governance arrangements
• Work closely with sales organization to identify growth opportunities with existing customer and lead such proposals as appropriate
• Identify, prioritise and drive optimization, best practice sharing and standardisation initiatives for program delivery
• Managing mitigation of risks to the programme's successful outcome
• Takes on supervisory responsibility and provides coaching to project managers
• Provides input on team performance and reward
• Requires significant independent judgment to determine the most effective course of action at any given stage in the project
• Reporting progress of the programme at regular intervals to the MTN CDE
• Communicate organizational vision, values and strategies to all project staff

Experience

• Expert level understanding and anticipation of the client's needs and an in-depth understanding of client facing software delivery life cycle (SDLC) management at program level
• Experience in managing program budgets and delivering services revenue and margin
• Experienced in working with Systems Integrators and multiple vendors essential
• Experienced in identifying and implementing Process Improvements in program delivery methodology
• Experience in performing a consultative subject matter expert (SME) role in relation to technical aspects of the program.
• Sophisticated communication skills to influence and gain cooperation with customers and team members.
• Requires highly developed team leadership skills with ability to lead large groups
• Preferably greater than ten years project/program management experience in managing large implementation/software development projects, within a professional services or consulting environment

Telecommunication Experience Required

• Must have Billing BSS transformation/ System integration background experience
• Understands TMF framework
