Container load process

• Check exports loads by SSCC labels, quantities and quality of products
• Check for damages, ensure if any that they are sorted immediately.
• Draw samples of export loads for inspection
• Ensure that sample stock is collected a day before or on day of loading
• Ensure that sample inspection certificate and results are submitted for clearance and filed
• Floor inspection to be done with inspector.
• Ensure inspector reports all findings and documents for clearance of load and container is completed.
• Photos of stock to be taken and stock to be in good quality.
• On delivery of the container by transporter, Verify the container number and seal numbers match on the documents.
• Check inside the container for no light holes and pest activity
• Maintain the export packaging stock, by ensuring availability at all times
• Liase with transporters on container placement and collection
• Ensure that the container is packed and spread to ensure the full quantity can fit.
• Stock control to PGI, to check if all stock fit in the container.
• Ensure documents and seals are handed to security at main gate to seal all out going containers
• Give the driver the container documents and seal the container.

Local Delivery

• Ensure shipments are processed to meet delivery date and slot
• Assign assembly bay/cages on proxy
• Liase with Stock control on shipment picking progress
• Ensure completion of checking and filling of documents
• Ensure loads are PGI'd and documents handed to respective transporters
• Complete all necessary transport documentation for shipments (i.e. CHEP, Gate pass, etc..)
• Complete daily health checks
• Tracking reports and information on Proxy
• Daily monitoring and tracking of open outbound STO
• Ensure that all inter DC transfer documents are files and sorted in a secure manner

Labour

• Request labour with Labour provider as per the loading plan
• Ensure that the PPE is in full, safety induction has been done before entering site
• Complete billing file

What will make you successful?

• Matriculation certificate or equivalent
• PMI business numeracy and Business Communication to NQF level 4
• Literate and Computer literacy
• Good Driving skills
• Product Knowledge
• One year reach truck experience
• Valid MHE license 4 to 12 months (on the job training exposure)
