A well-established company is seeking a proactive and organised Distribution Manager to oversee daily distribution operations, manage the company fleet, and ensure the efficient delivery of products. This role is ideal for an experienced distribution professional or a motivated individual with the potential to be trained into the position.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and coordinate daily delivery schedules and distribution activities.
Oversee the company fleet, ensuring vehicles are serviced, maintained, and roadworthy.
Monitor vehicle usage, inspections, and maintenance records.
Assist with loading delivery vehicles when required.
Ensure deliveries are completed efficiently and on time.
Maintain accurate distribution and fleet records.
Liaise with drivers and internal departments to ensure smooth operations.
Identify and resolve operational issues promptly.
Ensure compliance with company safety and operational procedures.
Minimum Requirements
Previous experience in distribution, logistics, fleet management, or a similar role preferred.
Alternatively, a willingness to learn with the aptitude to be trained.
Computer literate with good administrative skills.
Strong organisational and planning abilities.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Physically capable of assisting with loading vehicles when required.
