Support the advancement of Mimecast’s multi-year Global DEI strategy, targets and objectives. Manage communications, event planning and logistics for firmwide DEI programming, including heritage month celebrations and awareness days.
Support with the integration of DEI across Mimecast to help embed inclusion throughout the employee lifecycle, collaborating closely with other teams, including:
Learning & Development - to help design and deliver programs that help develop, advance and retain employees from under-represented backgrounds including our flagship MimecastHER programme
Talent Acquisition - to help develop an approach to diversity recruitment that attracts a diverse candidate pool and promotes Mimecast as an employer of choice.
HR Business Partners - to help launch initiatives that embed DEI deeper into the organisation
Act as a central point of contact to our 5 Employee Resource Groups. Provide guidance to ERG leaders, particularly those in the early phases, ensuring alignment to our DEI Strategy and effective communication, executive sponsor engagement and quality execution of impactful programs.
Provide administration and support for all aspects relating to the Mimecast bursary programmes in South Africa, from planning, implementing, and reporting on both internal and external bursary programmes.
Collaborate closely with other Functions and HR colleagues including Learning & Organizational Development, Social Impact, and HR Operations to support other operational tasks and special projects as needed.
What You’ll Bring:
Knowledge and understanding of the cultural landscape of South Africa, including B-BBEE legislation
Strong attention to detail and administrative planning skills including end-to-end project management, event planning and execution. Able to produce high-quality, scalable deliverables
Experience managing impactful Diversity Networks / Employee Resource Groups
Good understanding of HR processes with demonstrable experience embedding DEI initiatives across the employee lifecycle
A fast learner with the ability work independently, and as part of a team, build collaborative relationships and influence effectively across different levels of an organization.
Ability to work well independently and as part of a wider team
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook), HRIS systems (Workday experience a plus), among other applications.
