    Divisional Head – HR Centres of Excellence (COEs)

    Brief description

    The purpose of this position is to provide strategic leadership and oversight in the research, development, design, alignment and implementation of best and relevant practices in critical human resources services namely Strategic Resourcing, Performance Management, Talent Management and Organisational Transformation within the South African Reserve Bank Group (SARB Group).

     

    Detailed description

    The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

    • Provide strategic leadership, oversight and build capability across HR Centres of Excellence (CoE) Division.
    • Collaborate, develop and provide input into strategic HR plans.
    • Oversee and facilitate the integration of all programmes and relevant processes within the HR CoE’s that support the human resources needs of the SARB Group entities.
    • Monitor and assess the efficacy of HR processes against identified measures and metrics for the realisation of desired outcomes.
    • Provide guidance by setting standards, designing methodologies/tools and developing and updating the knowledge repositories.
    • Collaborate closely with other HR functions in order to coordinate service delivery and ensure that HR interventions are aligned to organisational goals.  
    • Ensure alignment to HR-related governance, risk and compliance processes/frameworks/systems within the HRD, including integrated reporting to the Group HR Executive.
    • Manage strategic engagements with internal and external stakeholders.
    • Allocate financial resources and coordinate preparation of annual budgets for approval.
    • Guide and manage the performance and development of team.

     

    Job requirements

    To be considered for this position, candidates must have:

    • an Honours degree in Social Sciences, Human Resources Management or relevant qualification; and
    • 10–12 years’ experience in a human resources management environment with at least five years in a management position.
    • In depth knowledge and proven experience of HR best practices
    • Working knowledge of MS Office and ERP systems (e.g. Oracle/SAP)
