Job Description

Required Skills

• Grade 10 or Equivalent.
• At least one year's experience as truck or van assistant.
• Must be able to read & write.
• Able to work in the cold room environment.
• Accuracy and attention to detail.
• Must be willing to work shifts and overtime if required.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Punctuality and attendance reliability.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist the driver in checking the stock,
• Load the truck with stock, pull out orders as per the invoices for stores.
• Ensure that the correct quantities are given to the stores at the delivery point.
• Check returns against goods returns, guide the driver at the rear of the truck whilst he reverses the truck.
• Ensure that the truck is kept clean & tidy after the route is completed.
• Ensure compliance to health and safety standards
