Driver Assistant at Phakisa Group

Job Purpose

• To assist the driver with the safe and efficient loading, transportation, and delivery of retail products to customers, stores, or designated locations while providing professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with loading and offloading stock from the delivery vehicle.
• Check products against delivery notes, invoices, or picking slips.
• Ensure products are handled carefully to prevent damage.
• Assist the driver with deliveries and collections.
• Assist with navigating delivery routes and locating delivery addresses.
• Ensure the correct products and quantities are delivered.
• Obtain signatures or proof of delivery where required.
• Assist with securing stock safely inside the vehicle.
• Report damaged, missing, or incorrect stock to the driver or supervisor.
• Assist with returning products, empty containers, or other company items.
• Maintain cleanliness and good housekeeping of the delivery vehicle.
• Follow all company health, safety, and security procedures.
• Provide professional and courteous service to customers.
• Perform any other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Requirements

• Must have Grade 12/ Matric 
• Previous experience as a Van Assistant 
• Warehouse Assistant, or similar role will be an advantage.
• Good communication skills.Reliable, punctual, and hardworking.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Rate: R35.46 Per Hour
