Driver C1/Code 10 at Bidvest International Logistics

Key Responsibilities    

•  Ensure all shipments are handled in line with client requirements.
•  Physical handling (loading and offloading) of client’s cargo at Airport, Road Haulier Depot, Warehouse and client’s premises
•  Ensuring cargo is in perfect outward condition before signing acceptance of the cargo.
•  Taking care of the Company vehicle, daily roadworthy checks and report any faults to Management
•  Taking care of the load the vehicle is carrying at all times, doors locked, Load body doors locked and vehicle locked and armed when unattended.
•  Working with Air Import / Export teams
•  To work with Air and Export  teams and assist in General Air Duties.
•  Identify any issues of concern and elevate to management for resolution
•  To achieve the OTIFNE (On Time In Full No Errors) performance requirement ensuring client satisfaction
•   Ensure that we perform in line with the clients’ expectations where realistic
•   Assist team members as necessary to maintain service levels at all times
•  Adhere to the values of the organisation at all times

Skills & Competencies    
Knowledge:                                

• Knowledge of SAA and Customs Release Processes of cargo.                                

Skills:                                

• Acceptance of the nature of the job requirement to work overtime (during the week and at weekends).                                
• Not afraid to take responsibility.                                
• Communication in English at all levels.
