Driver: Crane at Sappi

• We’re on the lockout for Driver : Crane the incumbent in this position will operate a mobile crane on site and control all lifting equipment related to the mobile cranes, in according to safe engineering standards.

As a Crane : Driver you will be responsible to:

• Operate mobile crane to assist Riggers with their tasks (loading, offloading, removal & install equipment.
• To ensure that colour coding is done as required on all lifting equipment used by the mobile cranes.
• To ensure that equipment that is not safe for use are replaced or sent for repairs.
• Do daily vehicle inspections.
• Ensure housekeeping is done on a daily basis.
• Ensure that machinery is cleaned once a week (Foreman to allocated people).
• Assist with the transportation of gearboxes, motors and pumps.
• Operate Bartow, tractors, forklifts if declared competent (if licensed).
• Work shifts (night or day shift) if required from time to time.
• Do standby as required from time to time.

What are we looking for?

Relevant Qualifications & Experience

• Matric & N2 Engineering (N3 Desirable)
• Two years’ experience in a heavy Engineering Environment.
