Job Description

• As a Driver for the Supercare Chemical Storeroom, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of cleaning chemical, products and materials.
• This position focuses on logistical operations within a specialized environment, where you will be responsible for adhering to safety standards while maintaining timely deliveries.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to transport chemicals and materials to and from the storeroom and designated sites.
• Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and regulations regarding the transport and handling of hazardous materials.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to confirm safety and operational standards are met.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including quantities transported, and prepare reports as necessary.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to load and unload chemical products safely and efficiently.
• Respond promptly to delivery requests and schedule changes while managing time effectively.
• Provide support in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the storeroom and vehicles.
• Assist in training and guiding new staff on safety and operational procedures related to chemical transport.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Demonstrable experience in the transportation or logistics industry, preferably involving hazardous materials.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures relevant to chemical handling and transport.
• Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficiency in basic tracking and record-keeping systems related to deliveries.
• Certification in hazardous materials handling or equivalent training.
• Previous experience working in a chemical storage facility or related industry.
• Knowledge of compliance regulations pertaining to chemical transport and storage.
