Job Advert Summary    

• An opportunity has arisen for a Driver Extra Heavy Vehicle to operate a motor vehicle (articulated) at County Fair Epping and Hocroft, the gross combination mass of which exceeds 16 000 kg but not 25 000 (With a trailer not exceeding 750 kg and the gross vehicle mass of which exceeds 16 000 kg but not 25 000 kg; Please refer to the minimum requirements, duties and responsibilities below for further information

Minimum Requirements    

• Grade 12 / Matric / NQF level 4, Grade 10 / NQF level 2
• Code C1, Valid PrDP - PrDP “D” if required to operate Dangerous Goods C
• 3 years’ experience
• Prepared to work shifts, weekends and public holiday
• Safe driving record and clean criminal record

Duties & Responsibilities    

• Prepare vehicles for a trip.
• Operate heavy duty vehicles
• Handle documentation from dispatch to the customer and back to the distribution Centre
• Perform vehicle inspection before and after the trip
• Takes full responsibility for the roadworthiness of the vehicle when leaving the Depot
• Account for all the goods that are being transported to the customer
• All other reasonable instructions from Supervisor
