DTP (Desktop Publisher) Operator at Boxer Superstores

Job Advert Summary    

• Boxer Superstores is looking for a creative and detail-oriented DTP / Graphic Designer to join our Advertising team. If you thrive in a fast-paced retail environment and have a passion for producing high-quality promotional material for both print and digital platforms, this opportunity is for you.
• You will play a key role in creating visually appealing promotional layouts while ensuring product and price accuracy across all Boxer advertising material.
• Purpose: To produce high-quality promotional and advertising material by applying strong desktop publishing and layout skills, supporting both print and digital outputs within the Boxer brand.

Minimum Requirements    

• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design, DTP, or related field
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in a retail DTP or high-volume production environment
• Proficient in Mac OS
• Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure

Duties and Responsibilities    

• Create and maintain promotional templates with a strong focus on product and price accuracy
• Prepare and execute promotional material across the Boxer brand for both print and digital platforms
• Ensure all layouts meet high visual standards, including typography, spacing, and brand consistency
• Proofread and quality-check all work before submission to the Advertising Coordinator
• Prepare print-ready files according to supplier specifications
• Upload and distribute correct promotional material to suppliers and relevant stakeholders
• Perform image editing and deep-etching for the product library
• Work closely with Advertising Coordinators and Traffic to ensure deadlines are met
• Manage workload effectively within a high-volume production environment
• Maintain organised server structures for current and archived work
• Suggest improvements to layouts, workflows, and overall production quality
