DTP Operator - Marketing (JHB East Rand) at Ecowize Group

Description

• The successful candidate will be responsible for developing branded materials and ensuring that all printed outputs are accurate, professional, and aligned with production schedules. This individual will collaborate with internal teams across regulatory, production, and marketing functions and oversee the print queue to support operational priorities. The position offers a dynamic mix of creative design, hands-on printing coordination, and cross-functional teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Apply Ecowize’s corporate identity across all visuals and documents.
• Design product one-pagers, technical labels, catalogues, and promotional materials.
• Develop custom artwork for installations such as shadow boards.
• Support internal and digital promotional campaigns.
• Conduct print quality checks and align output with approved templates.  Review and proof materials before release.
• Maintain a daily print schedule in sync with production and raw material transfers.
• Prioritise print jobs based on urgency and operational needs.
• Liaise with manufacturing, regulatory, and commercial teams.
• Finalise artwork with stakeholders and maintain version control of templates.
• Update and distribute materials following regulatory or product changes.
• Coordinate high-volume printing days with production and warehouse.
• Adjust task priorities to meet urgent demands, manage a print queue.
• Report on print job status and identify workflow improvements.

Requirements
Job Requirements: 

• Grade 12.
• Diploma or Degree in Graphic Design or a related field (Required).
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) and additional design tools (e.g., CorelDraw) is beneficial
• Strong organisational, communication, and independent working skills.
• Understanding of branding in the chemical or industrial sector (advantageous).
• Advanced computer literacy and intermediate proficiency in Microsoft applications.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changes.
