• To develop and support e-commerce platforms for the group of companies.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain ecommerce websites using programming languages such as PHP, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS
• Create and manage databases to store customer and product information
• Implement and maintain secure payment gateways and order processing systems
• Maintain existing programming code on the system to ensure continuity, sustainability and accuracy of information
• Monitor website performance and identify areas for improvement
• Collaborate with designers and UX specialists to implement new designs and improve website aesthetics
• Ensure seamless integration of third-party tools and applications 
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs 
• Stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and trends in ecommerce development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years’ experience developing e-commerce sites using Shopify, with a deep understanding of Shopify's APIs, apps, and webhooks
• Experience building backend systems and databases
• Programming skills in Python would be advantageous
• Experience working with front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, and with front-end frameworks such as React and Vue.js
• Experience with version control tools, such as Git
•  Familiarity with web development tools and frameworks, such as Flask, Django, and Node.js would be advantageous
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Google Cloud, and with containerization technologies, such as Docker and Kubernetes 
• Excellent communication, planning and time management skills
• High level of commercial awareness.
