eCommerce Manager at Robert Walters

• To oversee the end-to-end e-commerce ecosystem, ensuring a seamless customer journey across digital platforms and 17 club locations. This role is responsible for the growth of the retail brands through strategic website development, performance marketing, and operational excellence in stock and POS management.

E-commerce & Website Development

• Platform Management: Design, develop, and maintain a visually appealing, mobile-responsive storefront on the Shopify Platform.
• Technical Infrastructure: Implement and troubleshoot e-commerce functionalities, including payment gateway integrations and inventory syncs.
• Marketplace Oversight: Full management of the Takealot Marketplace account, including stock replenishment and seller health.
• UX & Content: Manage website architecture and navigation while regularly updating product listings, images, and descriptions.

Retail Systems & Inventory Control

• POS Administration: Act as the lead administrator for Retail Pro related to e-commerce, ensuring the system is synchronized with Shopify.
• Pricing: Ensure all 16+ VAPC locations are synchronised with pricing and discount structures.
• Inventory Integrity: Manage the administrative movement of stock and ensure an optimal product mix and accurate stock levels for the online store and other marketplaces.
• Fulfilment: Oversee order fulfilment, including processing manual orders, replacement orders, returns, and exchanges.

Marketing & Creative Direction

• Campaign Execution: Partner with the Marketing Manager to plan, brief, and communicate retail campaigns to club managers.
• Performance Marketing: Set up, monitor, and report on Meta (Facebook/Instagram) and Google Ads to drive traffic and conversion.
• Content Creation: Design website banners, social media content, and mailers using Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.
• CRM: Manage customer databases and implement segmentation strategies for personalized marketing and acquisition.

Operations & Communication

• General Inbox: Act as the primary contact for all inquiries, managing customer complaints, compliments, and requests.
• Club Liaison: Assist with the design and setup of retail stores at new and existing locations.
• Supplier Management: Negotiate with and manage suppliers to ensure revenue and profit targets are met.

Reporting & Finance

• Data Analysis: Track website traffic and conversion rates using Google Analytics.
• Financial Reporting: Compile weekly and monthly reports on sales, returns, and budget tracking for the department.
• Experience: Proven experience in E-commerce, Marketing and Retail Operations role.
• Technical Proficiency: Mastery of Shopify, Meta Ads Manager, and Google Analytics.
• Creative Skills: Competency in digital design (Canva) and copywriting.
• Operational Mindset: Strong understanding of inventory control, supply chain logistics, and marketplace dynamics.
• Communication: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills for stakeholder and customer management.
