Electrical and C&I Draughtsman at Hire Resolve

Responsibilities

• Work with Design Engineers to understand project requirements by reading and applying project specs.
• Help with concept, basic, and detailed designs, creating drawings for MV, LV, and DC systems.
• Support installation activities by checking as-built statuses, updating drawings, revising designs, and assisting with testing and commissioning.
• Ensure the quality of work and meet deadlines for producing drawings.
• Integrate electrical and C&I designs with civil, mechanical, and piping systems.

Requirements

• Minimum National Certificate level 5 in a relevant draughting qualification from an accredited college or equivalent, OR National Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering from an accredited university or equivalent
• At least 4 years in C&I and electrical design
• Previous experience in the Oil & Gas industry and Renewable Energy is an advantage
• Good understanding of General Arrangement Layouts, Single Line Diagrams, Circuit Diagrams, Loop Diagrams, Termination Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams, Fire Detection Layouts, Small Power and Lighting, Solar Plant Layouts, etc.
• Knowledge of Electrical Underground Ducts, Electrical Grounding, Small Power & Lighting, Electrical Equipment Layout, Cable Tray Layouts, and Standard Installation Detail Drawings
• Practical knowledge of control systems (PLC, DCS)
• Working knowledge of LV, MV, DC system designs
• Familiarity with the OHS Act and its Regulations
• Understanding of quality systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 18001)
• Knowledge of standards and practices within the C&I/electrical discipline
• Proficiency in AVEVA, AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical, MicroStation, and other 3D software
