Perform detailed electrical engineering designs, power system calculations, and configuration of electrical equipment and systems.
Ensure all electrical designs meet project specifications, industry codes, statutory requirements, and quality standards.
Collaborate with design and drafting teams to develop electrical drawings, including schematics, wiring diagrams, single‑line diagrams, and equipment layouts.
Coordinate technical interfaces with other engineering disciplines to ensure full integration and alignment across all project systems.
Prepare comprehensive electrical engineering documentation such as scopes of work, bills of materials, equipment specifications, and technical datasheets.
Develop and compile technical tender packages and provide electrical engineering input for the procurement of electrical equipment, switchgear, motors, etc.
Review vendor documentation and distribute relevant information for interface checks and design integration.
Knowledge of SANS and international design codes and standards
The expertise you'll bring
Degree in Electrical Engineering or the equivalent from a reputable institution.
3+ years' postgraduate experience in a similar position.
Registration as an ECSA Professional Engineer or Professional Engineering Technologist is advantageous.
