Electrical Engineer at Helderberg Personnel

Key Responsibilities Include
Electrical Reticulation & Distribution Infrastructure

• Design reticulation networks for residential and industrial developments
• Manage High Voltage (up to 132kV) power distribution and MV/LV systems
• Conduct master planning, tariff investigations, and bulk infrastructure assessments

Building Services & Electronic Systems

• Engineering of power, MV/LV distribution, and standby generation plants / UPS
• Design indoor/outdoor, area, roadway, highway, and façade lighting
• Implement earthing, lightning protection, and pump station systems
• Integrate electronic services (Fire detection, CCTV, access control, data/telecoms, PA systems, and Building Management Systems)

Project Management

• Oversee projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality and compliance 

Candidate Criteria

• Education: BTech in Electrical Engineering or BSc/BEng Electrical Engineering Degree
• Professional Registration: Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer (Pr.Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr.TechEng) preferred (or Candidate tracking for professional registration)
• Experience: 5 to 7 years of proven consulting experience in building services and reticulation
• Software: High-level computer literacy relevant to engineering design and analysis
• Soft Skills: Exceptional problem-solving, active listening, and communication skills
