    Electrical Engineer- Principal (Mpumalanga)

    Core Purpose:

    KGA is currently recruiting for an Electrical Engineer-Principal with extensive Multidisciplinary project Engineering experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals sector to provide support to our client in the development and execution of Capital projects. The Electrical Engineer will be primarily responsible for the electrical engineering scope of design, planning and coordination and integration within a multi-discipline engineering team for the execution and delivery of electrical engineering deliverables. These deliverables must meet the accepted quality and execution requirements of the client and in accordance with Petrochemical standards and specifications within the approved budget and schedule. The electrical engineer is also accountable for Risk management and planning electrical scope for all phases of the project.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS

    • Bulk of experience must be in delivery of Capital projects in the Petro-Chemical environment.
    • Interfacing and/or electrical engineering working experience with Sasol as an added advantage
    • Understand all aspects of projects and be able to coordinate and maximize efficiency
    • Thorough management knowledge, organizational, time management, leadership, and decision-making skills
    • Responsible for Electrical engineering design process, planning coordination and integration with other disciplines including deliverables review.
    • The ability to work with multiple projects
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Knowledge of applicable codes, policies, standards, and best practices

    Qualifications:

    • B.Sc. Eng/ B.Eng/ B.Tech degree in Electrical Engineering
    • Professional Engineering Registration with ECSA 

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years engineering experience in the delivery of Capital Projects in a Petrochemical environment.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience gained in an Engineering Contractor’s design environment working in a multidisciplinary engineering project team.
    • Thorough knowledge of Petrochemical engineering design codes (and software), policies, standards and best practices
    • Working experience with Sasol Secunda and/or Sasolburg
    • Working knowledge of Project Stage Gates and its requirements
