Electrical / Mechanical Technician - Gas Plant Maintenance Support at Ellahi Consulting

Minimum requirements

Qualification:

• National Diploma (NQF 6/10) in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• SANS 10147 - SAQCC Gas Refrigeration Category B - Ammonia refrigeration

Experience and Requirements:

• Minimum 18 months years relevant experience
• Competent SAQCC Gas Refrigeration Category B – Ammonia refrigeration
• Experience in SAP PS and PM Modules, compiling and maintaining maintenance plans.(preferable)
• Development and execution of statutory requirement plans for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Development of risk assessments and safe work procedures for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Training, Supervision and competency declaration of maintenance and production teams for an
• ammonia refrigeration plant
• Maintenance strategy and maintenance plan development for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Extensive electrical knowledge and understanding of Maintenance philosophy
• Computer literate
• Knowledge of Capital project initiation and management procedures
• Project management
• Good working knowledge of ABB, Siemens PLC's
• Good working knowledge of SCADA Systems (Wonderware, Freelance)
• Good working knowledge of AC & DC Variable speed Drives (ABB, Siemens)

Job description

• Continual focus on safety and the improvement thereof.
• Development and execution of statutory requirement plans for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Development of risk assessments and safe work procedures for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Training, Supervision and competency declaration of maintenance and production teams for an
• ammonia refrigeration plant
• Maintenance strategy and maintenance plan development for an ammonia refrigeration plant
• Execution of specific optimisation / improvement projects.
• Co-responsible to ensure maximum plant availability regarding electrical
• equipment / systems.
• Manage Improving the electrical availability of the plant
• Specialist technical support to the maintenance and production teams
• Root Cause Failure analysis with reoccurrence prevention actions
• Maintain and improve maintenance plan
• Accurate PM budgeting according to maintenance plan
• Budgeting for major projects and EM
• Training of electrical maintenance staff
• Maintain preventative maintenance initiatives
• Develop and manage shutdown schedules
• Quality control management and documentation
• Update electrical drawings
• Control of electrical costs.
• Standby will be required
• Maintaining Electrical equipment, Drives, SCADA Systems and Network equipment
