Electrical Technician - Atlantis at Lesedi Nuclear Services Pty Ltd

PURPOSE OF ROLE

• Provide support to the various engineers through performing allocated design and tender preparation related tasks, as well as to assist with test and commissioning activities.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Electrical systems design assistance:
  • Design and sizing of electrical cabling and motor control centres.
  • Development of test and commissioning procedures.
  • Detail compilation of electrical design documentation.
  • Development of relevant electrical drawings using Autocad.
  • Compilation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs).
• Assistance during the fabrication phase of all projects including performing required FAT testing.
• Assisting with tender compilation.
• Assisting with testing and commissioning of electrical systems.
• Site supervision of on-site E&I installations team.
• Ensuring compliance to company and project technical and QA requirements.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• National Diploma or BTech in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience in a multi-disciplinary project design environment.

COMPETENCIES

Knowledge

• Knowledge of Electrical codes and standards.
• Knowledge of the OHS Act and its regulations and how it applies.
• Knowledge of the principles of ISO quality systems.
• Proficient in Autocad.
