    Group Financial Manager

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    Reporting directly to the CFO, the Group Financial Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing all financial activities across the organization, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations with a high focus on optimizing financial performance and reporting. The role also provides strategic financial insights and support into different areas of the organization in order to support the CFO Office in the execution of overall business strategy, growth and expansion.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

     Finance Department

    • Oversight and management of the group’s finance department and functions.
    • Ensures effective review and outcome of KPI’s and training programmes, driven by strategy.  
    • Drives integration and coordination between internal departments.
    • Key support to Senior accounting as well as project and cost accounting functions.

     Governance and Internal Control

    • Maintain and implement internal controls, governance and compliance to ensure the integrity of financial transactions.
    • Implementing and maintaining effective risk management strategies to mitigate financial risks.

     Business processes

    • Active participation in business processes optimization with effective outcomes to improve efficiency.  
    • Key support to project managers to ensure successful execution.  

    Financial Reporting

    • Preparing month end financial reports.
      This includes, but is not limited to external and internal stakeholders, such as the Board of Directors, shareholders, the Executive Committee, Divisional Profit & Loss owners and Project Managers.
    • Provides insights and analysis of monthly financial results.
    • Preparation of budgets and rolling forecasts as process owner.  
    • Preparation of cash flow forecasts as process owner.
    • Consolidation of the group results.
    • Guide and assist internal stakeholders on revenue recognition requirements and principles in line with IFRS15 and stage of completion measurement principles.

     ERP and Business Reporting Tools

    • Participate in the management of the ERP system.
    • Utilization of the ERP system effectively to perform daily, monthly and annual tasks.
    • As custodian of the process, ensures that the financial data provided by the ERP, is at all times accurate and reflective of:
       - commercially agreed terms and conditions.
      -  compliant with IFRS reporting requirements
       - relevant in terms of the business reporting requirements.
      -  adheres to internal controls and governance rules
    • Applies innovative and technology driven solutions to enable the ERP and Business reporting Tools to support the organisation.

    Annual Audits

    • Plans and executes the annual financial audit in conjunction with the external auditors.
    • Maintain relationships with external auditors.

    Taxation

    • Ensures compliance with tax laws and regulations.
    • Performs and reviews Income Tax calculations for all companies in the group.
    • Review of monthly VAT filings.
    • Performs Dividend tax calculations.
    • Coordination with external tax advisors.  

    Foreign exchange

    • Assists in compliance with SARB regulations
    • Review and advise on implications of cross-border transactions.

    Insurance

    • Participate in the review of the group insurance portfolio.

     Treasury

    • Monitor banking and other key relationships.
    • Assists in the review and assessment of terms and conditions of facilities.
    • Enables the bonds and guarantee process.  
    • Ensures the effective functioning of the banking system.
    • Utilization of the Banking platform effectively to execute transactions.

     CFO Office

    • Assists the CFO in execution of strategy.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • CA (SA) or similar
    • At least 5 to 8 years post articles experience preferable in either the areas of: EPC, Project Management, Engineering, Construction or Energy sectors, supported by demonstrable experience in a similar role.

    Control & Instrumentation Technician/Technologist

    Purpose of Role:

    • Provide support to the engineers through performing allocated design and tender preparation related tasks, as well as to assist with test and commissioning activities.

    Key Responsibilities:

    The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

    C&I systems design assistance:

    • Assistance with P&ID development
    • Design of C&I wiring schematics and panel layouts
    • Specifying instrumentation and development of instrument datasheets
    • Development of test and commissioning procedures
    • Detail compilation of C&I design documentation
    • Development of relevant C&I drawings using Autocad
    • Compilation of Bill of Quantities (BOQs)
    •   Assistance during the fabrication phase of all projects including performing required FAT testing
    •   Assisting with tender compilation
    •   Assisting with testing and commissioning of C&I systems
    •   Site supervision of on-site E&I installations team
    •   Ensuring compliance to company and project technical and QA requirements

    Qualifications:

    •  The successful candidate should ideally possess a National Diploma or BTech (Electrical/Electronic) degree or equivalent qualification.
    •  Minimum 5 years relevant multi-disciplinary project design experience in the industrial automation and control environment for mining and metallurgy, industrial or power industries.

    Electrical Technician - Atlantis

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    Quality Manager - Atlantis

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    • An experienced Quality Assurance Manager to manage the welding and fabrication quality control and ensure all work performed by Lesedi and subcontractors conform to our customer`s relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. Deliverables in terms of client requirements.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Manage and oversee project quality to ensure compliance to codes, standards, regulations, equipment specific specifications, and project QMS requirements.
    • Create, update, and maintain the project submittal log and all other project specific quality control reports.
    • Set up a site inspection/audit programme, for site activities for subcontractors.
    • Ensure that subcontractor documentation is fully compliant with the specification requirements.
    • Review, control and update the distribution of Quality management procedures and related procedures for infrastructure, Civil, Electrical and other subcontractors.
    • Monitor and control the inputs of subcontractors in the areas such as welding, ensure that repair registers are up to date and accurate.
    • Review and input to subcontractor`s documentation by inserting hold and witness points, monitor and control incoming goods for compliance to requirements.
    • Chair and document weekly QC meetings with the Client QC representative, and provide written minutes to SHEQ Head Office
    • Provide practical and technical welding and fabrication QA guidance, support, assistance, and mentoring.
    • Taking full responsibility for hold-point releases once all project QMS functions have been completed and the equipment is ready to go into the next work stage.
    • Developing and implementing risk-based inspection (RBI) activities and processes, using API 650 series and other similar programs to develop internal standard practices.
    • Managing inspection, NDE, and testing plans for new construction, repair work, and alterations.
    • Review codes and standards and apply them across site activities.
    • Manage construction processes, plant equipment, inspection and NDE personnel certification and QMS internal audits.
    • Maintain by audit and limit the risk of poor suppliers getting onto site.
    • Ensure that points are not bypassed, and that all inputs to QCP are reviewed and adequate and approved.
    • Detailed review of the contents of the QADP for acceptance.


    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma/Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
    • Registration as ISO 9001 Lead Auditor would be advantageous.
    • Strong coordination and organization skills, with strict emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
    • Advance knowledge of qualifying ASME WPS and welder/welding operator qualifications, including local regulation requirements.
    • Knowledge in codes like ASME / AWS D1.1/ BS EN and ISO standards.
    • 10years related experience in QA/Welding environment.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills, including advanced knowledge of AWS A3.0 Welding Terms and Definitions. Advanced knowledge of welding inspection and related NDE methods (MT, PT, UT, and RT), including ASME Sec. V requirements.
    • Experience in managing subcontractors and teams.
    • Computer proficiency in MS Office/Excel/MS Word/ Power point.

    COMPETENCIES

    • General Knowledge of ISO 9001 – 2015
    • General Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO45001
    • Understanding of quality, environmental and safety management systems.
    • Knowledge of quality concepts, regulatory and safety governances.
    • Must be able to read Isometrics and P&ID Drawings.

    • Reject components with poor or defective workmanship.

    QC Inspector : Civil (Atlantis)

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    The Civil QC inspector is required to ensure all work performed by Lesedi or subcontractors conform to our customer`s relevant codes, standards, and safety requirements. Deliverables in terms of client requirements and to ensure the safety and reliability of manufactured goods, construction projects, or engineered systems.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Previous experience in civil construction works and supervision or inspection of roadworks.
    • Record inspections, tests and work executed.
    • Monitor the review of the contractor’s documents/shop drawings to flag and rectify any issues which may affect the stability or function of any components or systems.
    • Preparing daily logs and reports.
    • Monitoring and ensuring that all civil/structural engineering aspects of the project are carried out as per inspection plan/drawings/codes and specifications.
    • Monitor safety aspects when dealing with Civil/structural installations.
    • Perform and or evaluate tests confirming quality requirements, civil/structural finishes and building components by conducting thorough site inspection for all civil/structural works as per approved shop drawings, specifications and method statement.
    • Field checks placement, location and quality of civil/structural finishes, building structure components.
    • Perform civil/structural inspections and material inspections.
    • Ensure compliance of civil/structural l works to design requirements, specifications, and project plan.

    QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
    • OSHA, ACI, NICET, CISEC/QSP Certified Inspector.
    • Auditor 9001
    • 5 years` related experience in Civil/ Construction environment.
    • Experience in the use of various software’s including Microsoft Office products and other PM Software is required.
    • Knowledge of Codes, Standards and Civil construction Processes.
    • Minimum 5 years QA/QC experience.
    • Experience in managing subcontractors and teams.
    • Must be able to prepare reports and meeting minutes and update construction record documents.
