Key Output

• Carry out electrical repairs and maintenance on Earthmoving Equipment in the workshops or on customer sites.
• Remove and install electrical components.
• Ensure safe work practice and carry out risk assessment.
• Follow through to ensure that quality and productivity standards of own work are consistently and accurately maintained.
• Wiring electrical panels (MV & HV).
• Maintain professional image when representing BWE on customer sites.
• Effective self-management and performance ownership.
• Control Contamination and own admin (labour booking, service reports, part returns, expenses etc.)
• Perform periodic standby and call outs.

Qualification, Experience and Competencies

• Qualified Electrician with post apprenticeship / Learnership experience.
• Five years’ work experience on shovels.
• A Formal maintenance experience on shovels.
• Machine specific technical knowledge and skills.
• Basic technical report writing.
• Some computer literacy (SIS, STW and ET) knowledge.
• Basic trouble shooting and problem-solving skills.
• Applicable product knowledge.
• Additional electrical training and certificates advantageous.
