Electrician (QTN Electrician) at The Beverage Company

Job Purpose:

• Maintain the plant technology to a high level of efficiency, to deliver the required amount of product to the stipulated quality standards at the right time. Conduct preventative and reactive maintenance in the plant as required.

Key Performance Drivers

• Operational Effectiveness - Ensure that manufacturing machines are optimised for quality output. Daily walkthrough
• Preventative Maintenance - Ensure that the machines properly maintained
• Ad hoc maintenance - Ensure that breakdowns are attended to quickly and efficiently. Breakdowns to be recorded and trends analysed. Standby after hours for production.
• Health, Safety, Quality and Environment - Adhere to company policies and procedures; adhere to standards; compliance to quality and FSSC 22000 requirements; adhere to all food safety standards and report on all issues regarding the food safety management system to the food safety system.
• Food safety and quality culture - To uphold accurate food safety and quality standards by following established procedures, ensuring proper hygiene and promptly address potential risks; Promoting a strong food safety and quality culture by maintaining a keen eye for detail; Promptly report issues identified that could result in an unsafe or out of specification product.

Qualification

• Grade 12 (Maths and Science)
• N6 Qualified Artisan - Electrical

Experience

• 6 years' experience in bottling industry
• 5 years' experience in instrumentation
• 5 years' experience in PLC, SCADA and HMI
• 4 years' experience in switchgear and VSD
• 2 years' experience in pneumatics and hydraulics
