POSITION SUMMARY:   
Incumbent is responsible for all electrical equipment on the factory floor, the office block and DC as well as the installation of all electrical equipment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

•  Qualified Electrical Artisan (Electrical NQF 4 plus Trade Test)
•  At least 5 years’ experience in a FMCG maintenance environment
•  Specific machine related experience either Aerosol/ Make up/ Roll-on’s
•  Accountable for Manufacturing Operation productivity.
•  Accountable for the safety of all machinery and personnel working in your area of responsibility.
•  Rotate day and night shifts.
•  Valid driver’s license essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Responsible for electrical maintenance of all equipment, machinery and plant as directed by the Engineering Supervisor and/or Engineering Manager.
•  Carries out electrical installations as directed.
•  Installs new plant when directed.
•  Ensures that all electric lighting is maintained in an efficient state.
•  Advises the Engineering Supervisor on the status of machinery and plant on all matters, which may affect future plant availability.
•  Advises Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager when outside services are required.
•  Advises Engineering Supervisor and Engineering Manager on all matters regarding the safety of the plant, machinery, equipment and buildings in respect of electrical installations and electrical hazards.
•  Advises Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager of any potential electrical overloading hazards.
•  Responsible for electrical equipment at DC site.
•  Performs any other reasonable duty as directed by Superior.
•  Adhere to all company policies, procedures and instructions which forms part of the Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) management system of the company.
