Conduct fault finding and repairs on malfunctioning equipment to determine the root cause of faults, this would include pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
Carry out plant equipment inspections as per maintenance schedules.
Carry out maintenance work on all electrical/electronic systems on site.
Perform project work as per project plan.
Understanding of PLCs and VSDs
Basic understanding of creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.
Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping (Basic understanding of 5S).
Daily reporting of all breakdowns and ensuring all statutory inspections are carried out on time in full.
Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety act.
Qualification and Experience:
N3 Certificate
Trade Tested in Electrical
5 years experience as an Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
