Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting quality assurance tests and evaluations on all material produced using a variety of instruments and equipment to ensure that the products meet all the required specifications.
• Identify, control, and isolate all non-conforming products and complete all relevant paperwork.
• Assisting with retrieving and mounting samples for colour standards.
• Maintain and ensure excellent housekeeping and health & safety measures.                               

Qualification, Experience and Skills:

• Matric essential
• Qualification in quality field preferred
• Knowledge and understanding of quality assurance
• Experience within flexible packaging industry preferred
• Proficient in computer technology and systems
• Problem-solving skills

Job Responsibilities:

• Perform preventative maintenance on all assets on site according to defined schedules and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and provide effective repairs to all equipment on site including but not limited to pumps, compressors, chillers, drive systems, conveyors, gearboxes, electrical systems, etc.
• Develop and utilise procedures to efficiently, effectively, and safely diagnose and repair process equipment.
• Documents work by completing all maintenance checklist and ensuring statutory compliance on site is adhered to.
• Utilises plant information systems to gather data for troubleshooting and streamline tasks.
• Participates in root cause investigations (RCI)
• Provide training in responsible area to operations and other maintenance personnel in respect of troubleshooting.
• Perform basic hand rigging, welding on site.
• Undertake project tasks and provide necessary feedback.
• To maximise plant efficiency through continuous improvement.
• To efficiently manage stocks of spares & equipment needed to maintain plant.
• Adherence to housekeeping and health and safety regulations.                                                    

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric, N3 and trade test as a millwright
• A working knowledge of equipment in a flexible packaging environment is advantageous but not necessary

• Ability to work according to high standards of accuracy at all times
• Good problem-solving abilities together with a creative approach to finding solutions to breakdowns and maintenance.
• Be detail orientated and work with a sense of urgency
• Keeping a safe and healthy working environment
• Work effectively with others

Additional Requirements:

• Must have own tools
• Have a driver’s license and reliable car (mandatory)
• Flexibility in working hours, including shifts and overtime

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct fault finding and repairs on malfunctioning equipment to determine the root cause of faults, this would include pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Carry out plant equipment inspections as per maintenance schedules.
• Carry out maintenance work on all electrical/electronic systems on site.
• Perform project work as per project plan.
• Understanding of PLCs and VSDs
• Basic understanding of creating a suitable maintenance schedule and performing system maintenance accordingly.
• Always maintain a high standard of housekeeping (Basic understanding of 5S).
• Daily reporting of all breakdowns and ensuring all statutory inspections are carried out on time in full.
• Maintain a working knowledge and understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety act.       

Qualification and Experience:

• N3 Certificate
• Trade Tested in Electrical
• 5 years experience as an Electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment
• Wireman’s Licence

Job Responsibilities:

• Assists the operator when required.
• Carries out loading of the reels onto the machine.
• Ensures laminated reels are wrapped, weighed, and strapped onto pallets.
• Ensures all documentation required is on the laminated reels.
• Ensures laminated reels are packed in the correct area.
• Ensures all scrap is packed, weighed, and disposed to the areas allocated.
• Ensures work area machine and equipment is always tidy.
• Ensures raw material used is moved and correctly set at the machine area.
• Ensures that solvents are available when required by the operator.
• Ensures all end boards and pallets that are not in use are removed from the department and stored in the areas allocated.
• Assists the supervisor when required.                                                                     

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric
• 2 years work experience in Laminating department

Job Responsibilities:

• Liaises with relief operators on shift take over.
• Checks machine specifications against job card.
• Set up and operate specific laminating machine according to procedures and guidelines.
• Ensure quality checks are co-ordinated at regular intervals.
• Complete all required documentation for each shift cycle.
• Ensure finished products are properly labelled and packed/palletized.
• Check all machine functionality for any defects and report to superior or maintenance department.
• Maintain and ensure excellent housekeeping and health & safety measures.
• Adhere to company policy and procedures.                                                                      

Qualification and Experience:

• Matric
• 5 years operation of Simplex and Super Combi laminating machines.
• Experienced in solventless and solventbased lamination.
• Experienced in cold seal application.
