As an Electronic Technician, you'll play a critical role in maintaining and improving advanced manufacturing equipment that supports the production of our smoke-free products. You'll work in a highly automated environment, solve complex technical challenges, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance reliability, quality, and operational performance
Your Responsibilities
Perform preventive, planned, corrective, and breakdown maintenance on production equipment.
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical, electronic, PLC, and automation-related faults.
Maintain equipment calibration to ensure consistent performance, quality, and compliance.
Support production teams during changeovers, format changes, and technical interventions.
Participate in equipment installation, upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement projects.
Assist with integrating new technologies, automation systems, and control devices into existing equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance records, technical documentation, and data within company systems.
Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance teams to resolve technical issues.
Analyse equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and efficiency.
Support troubleshooting of critical production failures and implement sustainable solutions.
Ensure maintenance tools and equipment remain in good working condition.
Use SAP to manage spare parts, maintenance information, and inventory requirements.
Promote and comply with all quality, environmental, health, and safety standards.
What We're Looking For
Completed National Diploma/ Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Technology, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years' experience as an Electronic Technician, Electrical Technician, or similar role.
Strong experience in PLC programming, troubleshooting, and industrial automation systems.
At least 2 years' experience within a high-volume manufacturing or FMCG environment.
Working knowledge of control systems and automation technologies, including Siemens, Rockwell, Festo, Wonderware InTouch, WinCC, or similar platforms.
Experience with equipment calibration and instrumentation.
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Word is key.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to plan and coordinate maintenance activities while balancing production requirements.
