    Email Insights Specialist

    What We’re Looking For:

    Our Email Insights Specialist is responsible for identifying opportunities to improve and optimise marketing emails’ performance and conversion. Working in close collaboration with the Email Analysts, Email Specialist, Email Marketers and Brand Strategists, the Email Insights Specialist is responsible for identifying and prioritising tests to optimise emails and the email strategy. They will be planning and executing tests, interpreting data and outcomes, and implementing improvements to emails to ensure that emails remain relevant to our customer, to increase and drive email performance, and to ensure maximum conversions are obtained.  Critical to the success of this role, the Email Insights Specialist will have to invest in maintaining good relationships with a variety of stakeholders such as Product Strategy and Creative Studios, and have the ability to influence, obtain buy-in and drive change.  Staying up to date and having a firm understanding of market trends is important to contribute to the success.  The Email Insights Specialist should have a lasting business impact through improved conversion contributed to marketing emails, and ultimately increased revenue. 

    Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To:

    • Collaborate with the Email Marketers and Brand Strategists to identify needs and test opportunities to enhance email content in order to improve customer experience, email performance and conversions.

    • Primarily this individual will collaborate closely with the Email Specialist to identify new trends and email layout test opportunities to enhance emails and keep them relevant to the latest trends but is also expected to have a firm understanding of market trends as well.

    • Partner with the Senior Email Marketing Analyst to create the email testing roadmap, spec and brief development enhancements to S&T, and perform the interpretation of testing results after a test has been performed.  Further partnering will be required with the Senior Email Marketing Manager to set up tests within the Email Marketers’ portfolios (US, UK and ZA).

    • Act as project manager for all tests run on emails by ensuring that the planning, execution, reporting and ultimately potential implementation is expertly carried out.  This will require great risk and task management, communication, the ability to influence, negotiation and interpersonal skills, stakeholder management (Product Strategy, Email Marketing and Creative Studios), critical thinking and problem solving.

    • Follow existing processes and risk mitigation procedures to execute the standard and ad hoc email strategies. 

    Things That Should Be In Your Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree or relevant marketing qualification preferred

    • 5 years’ experience deploying, developing and optimizing email campaigns

    • Proven execution & understanding of email best practices

    • Experience with A/B testing best practices

    • Experience with analysis and data interpretation

    • Good knowledge of HTML
