    Email Marketing Specialist

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Manage the planning and delivery of regular one-off communication campaigns as well as new automated customer journeys and real-time sends.
    • Analyse work requested and ensure all detail is understood, agreed and valid. Interpret briefs and business requirements and turn them into actionable plans.
    • Interact with multiple stakeholders across the business to understand the bigger picture and align with other channels and departments on messaging.
    • Ensure that all communications are delivered according to best practice and company & brand guidelines.
    • Take ownership for the maintenance and improvement of existing customer journeys through regular review and AB testing.
    • Take a data-driven approach with support from our Marketing Intelligence function, measuring and analyzing performance to identify opportunities to optimize future journeys/campaigns
    • Work with the IT development teams to implement automations, get better data and overcome technical hurdles and increase efficiencies.
    • Make recommendations for process improvements to contribute to the continuous improvement of the communications function and its performance.
    • Support our marketing colleagues across global territories in developing their communications strategy and help them execute plans to achieve local targets. 
    • Work with QA to ensure that content is being served accurately for each territory. 
    • With the support of our technical team ensure we always:
    • Adhere to relevant local regulations (e.g. GDPR) and email hygiene management including opt outs, deliverability & bounce backs.
    • Produce regular analysis on communications activity and commercial performance of campaigns
    • Monitor and track our journeys and automations, raise incidents and escalate any issues.

    Person Specification (Ability / Expertise):

    Essential:

    • 2+ years’ experience in a email marketing / CRM role
    • Fluent English, written and spoken
    • Experience using Salesforce suite (Marketing Cloud and Service Cloud) or similar ESP/CRM management systems

    Desirable:

    • Experience of the retail financial environment would be an advantage
    • Experience in HTML, SQL and AMP script a bonus
