About the Job

Job Purpose

• The purpose of the floor Supervisor is to be responsible for the effective execution of the production area according to the production schedule

Production Management

• Receive production schedule daily and plan production according to machine availability, workforce and job urgency.
• Allocate work to relevant team through the supervisor and monitor actual production to planned production
• Attend production meetings and reallocate jobs according to the outcome of the meetings
• Identify and pre-empt production challenges and resolve issues

Staff Supervision

• Prioritize the work of employees based on deadlines and urgencies
• Monitor and track their daily outputs
• Responsible for conducting skills audits and closing skills gaps through on-the-job training
• Responsible for performance management, IR and selection of staff
• Responsible for leave management in the team

Health and Safety

• Ensure that health and safety policies are adhered to and evaluate working areas and mitigate or remove any identified hazards

Housekeeping

• Check the general housekeeping of work stations and intervene where required
