Job Description

• As a Multi Discipline Repairperson (Electrical) you will work hand in hand with the Engineering Foreman.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Quality support to Engineering Department
• Receive and follow instructions from Engineering Foreman/Artisan
• Perform necessary maintenance and repair work on equipment.
• Perform dismantling, repair, re-assembly, and installation tasks.
• Report any malfunctioning to Engineering Foreman/Artisan - Complying with maintenance/breakdown schedules.
• Completing role administration requirements.
• Comply with Operational Risk Management Program - (A1 Safety)
• Follow work instructions to set standards and procedures.
• Perform and apply skills to the maintenance of equipment.
• Ensure proper communication of the required work.
• Ensure that material is not wasted.
• Ensure that all required tools, material, and spares are available to perform tasks
• Communicate to engineering personnel any unexpected problems.
• Effective two-way communications with team members
• Report to Engineering Foreman/Artisan when task complete
• Accompany and support Engineering Foreman/Artisan when inspecting Work
• Promote safety awareness by reminding team members to follow work procedures and identifying unsafe work practices.
• Performs work outside normal working hours when required.

This role is in the Engineering department at a B8 level reporting to the Electrical Foreman.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 Mathematics and Natural Science or Recognized Technical Trade subjects.
• N3 Electrical Engineering.
• Repairperson Certificate
• Electrical Trade Certificate advantageous

• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Valid South African Driver’s License advantageous
• Must be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required.
• Must be prepared to do Standby duties when required.
