Engineer- Civil at AECOM

Job Summary

• Detail design of new bridges, culverts, overhead road sign gantries and other road and rail structures in accordance with TMH7, AASHTO and Eurocode;
• Detail design of bridge and culvert upgrading and rehabilitation;
• 3D Revit modelling of bridges and culverts based on Civil 3D geometric road models;
• Building Information Modelling (BIM);
• Preparation of construction drawings for bridges, culverts and other road related structures;
• Preparation of project specifications and bills of quantities;
• Inspection of bridges and culverts in accordance with the Degree, Extent and Relevance (DER) Bridge Management System (BMS);
• Training and management of junior technicians and technologists;
• Liaison with clients and authorities;
• Applying the AECOM Quality Management System (QMS) in all work.

Minimum Requirements

• Proficiency in SOFiSTiK, Midas, AutoCad, Revit, Civil 3D and CADS RC;
• Working in BIM 360 &/or ProjectWise
• BIM Level 2 compliance;
• Registered Professional Technologist;
• Accreditation as a Bridge/Culvert Inspector will be a benefit.
• Work related experience required
• Five to ten years’ experience in the design and drawing of bridges, culverts and other road related structures;
• Reinforcement detailing and preparation of bending schedules.
