The Central Karoo District Municipality is situated within the Karoo with its base in Beaufort West. It comprises three local municipalities, namely Laingsburg, Prince Albert and Beaufort West Municipalities.
To render a Municipal Health Service as defined in the Health Act, 2003 (Act 61 of 2003) in his/her responsible area, according to organizational policies and statutory requirements, read in conjunction with the Scope of Practice of an Environmental Health Practitioner.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
National Diploma/Degree in Environmental Health. Successful completion of the compulsory one-year community service. Proof of current registration with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as an Independent Practitioner Valid Code B Driver's license with own reliable vehicle
Successful completion of Peace Officer training will serve as an advantage to applicants. Ability to function independently and effectively in stressful situations.
Excellent communication skills in at least two of the three languages of the Western Cape Province. Computer literacy. Excellent analytical, interpersonal and project management skills Ability to function effectively in stressful situations. Good facilitation and presentation skills.
