Job Requirements

ISO 14001 DOCUMENTATION & SYSTEM CONTROL 

• Develop, compile, review, and maintain ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management System (EMS) documentation (policies, procedures, work instructions, registers, and records).
• Ensure document control compliance (version control, approvals, distribution, and archiving).
• Maintain a centralized and audit-ready document repository for Reactor Operations.
• Align all Reactor Operations documentation with ISO 14001 clauses and certification requirements.
• Track and ensure closure of documentation gaps identified during internal and external audits.
• Support the preparation and coordination of ISO certification and surveillance audits.
• Compile management review documentation, including inputs, outputs, and supporting evidence.
• Ensure all environmental records are complete, traceable, and readily accessible for audits

AUDIT PREPARATION & COMPLIANCE EVIDENCE MANAGEMENT 

• Compile audit packs and supporting evidence for ISO 14001 internal and external audits.
• Coordinate internal audits by preparing checklists, schedules, and required documentation.
• Maintain registers for legal compliance, permits, aspects and impacts, risks, and objectives.
• Ensure all legal and regulatory documents are current, recorded, and accessible.
• Track audit findings, non-conformances, and corrective actions to closure.
• Liaise with process owners to ensure required records and evidence are maintained.
• Ensure readiness for certification audits through continuous document and record verification

ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE REPORTING & RECORD KEEPING 

• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual environmental reports aligned with ISO 14001 requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of environmental monitoring (air emissions, groundwater, waste, etc.).
• Ensure all monitoring data is recorded, verified, and linked to compliance requirements.
• Support data analysis and ensure traceability of reported environmental performance.
• Maintain registers and logs required for compliance and audit purposes.

NON-CONFORMANCE & CORRECTIVE ACTION DOCUMENTATION 

• Record, track, and manage environmental non-conformances, incidents, PARs, and CARs.
• Compile investigation reports, root cause analyses, and corrective action documentation.
• Ensure all actions are documented, implemented, and closed out within required timelines.
• Maintain a complete and auditable trail of all incidents and corrective actions.

ENVIRONMENTAL COMPLIANCE & SYSTEM SUPPORT 

• Monitor changes in environmental legislation and update documentation accordingly.
• Ensure permits, licenses, and compliance obligations are documented and tracked.
• Support environmental risk assessments and maintain risk registers.
• Assist in developing environmental procedures aligned with ISO 14001.
• Provide support during inspections, audits, and regulatory engagements

Minimum Qualifications:

• National Diploma in Environmental Management / Environmental Science / Environmental Health
• ISO 14001:2015  Auditor certificate (required)
• ISO 9001 knowledge or certification (advantageous)

Minimum Experience

• Approximately 3 - 5 years relevant experience in a nuclear or manufacturing environment with experience in developing and continuous compliance to ISO14001:2015 Environmental Management systems.
• Minimum 4 years ISO 14001:2015 audit experience or exposure.
