Equipment Technician Assistant at Rohloff Group

What is the job:

• Equipment Technician assistant with expertise in the repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of kitchen equipment used in KFC restaurants. This includes a focus on Henny Penny Pressure and Open Fryers, Winston Collectramatic Pressure and Open Fryers, Upright Holding Cabinets, and all general kitchen equipment. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure the smooth operation of kitchen equipment.

What will be expected of you?

Maintenance & Repair:

• Perform preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on Henny Penny Pressure and Open Fryers, Winston Collectramatic Pressure and Open Fryers, and Upright Holding Cabinets.
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of kitchen equipment including fryers, holding cabinets, ovens, grills, and other general equipment.
• Conduct routine checks and inspections to ensure the equipment is functioning at optimal levels.

Installation:

• Assist with the installation of new kitchen equipment and systems, ensuring all installation processes comply with health and safety standards.
• Equipment Calibration:
• Calibrate fryers, holding cabinets, and other equipment to maintain precise cooking and holding temperatures.
• Test all equipment after maintenance or installation to verify proper operation and safety standards.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain detailed records of all service requests, maintenance, and repair activities performed on each piece of equipment.
• Submit daily or weekly reports on completed work, outstanding issues, and any recommendations for equipment replacements or upgrades.

Troubleshooting & Emergency Support:

• Respond promptly to emergency service calls, addressing issues quickly to minimize kitchen downtime.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to kitchen operations.
• Collaboration & Communication:
• Collaborate with kitchen management and other staff to understand equipment needs and address any recurring issues.
• Provide training to kitchen staff on the proper usage and basic troubleshooting of kitchen equipment.
