    ER Specialist Litigation

    PURPOSE OF THE ROLE:
    The ER Specialist to deal with all the provisions of the different legislatives a Company legally have to comply with. The role will be responsible for professional advice, implementation, updating and maintenance of all the industrial relations practices and systems in the field of Labour Law/litigation. The role needs to initiate appropriate interaction with role players such as the CCMA, Labour Court and Department of Labour and of Mineral and Resources (DMR). Organise high level interventions with CCMA to train and orientate conflict handling and the building world class relationships in the workplace for a better understanding of business management and
    principles.


    WORK OF THE ROLE:

    • Preparation and representing the Operations at the CCMA with regards to all different
    • kinds of disputes.
    • Provide expert advice to the Operations for the implementation and maintenance of best
    • practice systems related to Labour Relations in the workplace
    • Maintain good employee relations
    • Develop and apply necessary administration systems and practices
    • Recommends strategies for effective labour relations and implements plans and policies
    • to support the requirements of the Operation.
    • Ensures that Employee Relations records and statistics are maintained and conducts
    • analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities.
    • Builds and maintains influential relationships with external and internal stakeholders.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

    • NQF 7 Bachelor’s Degree/Advanced Diploma in Human Resource management or Employee relations.
    • Additional qualification in Labour Law will be advantageous
    • At least five years Employee Relations Management experience, of which three years in a middle management position and at least one year in the mining environment.
