Purpose of the Job

As an ESD Analyst your role will be to provide support to the ESD Lead in specific areas relating to the development and implementation of the ESD strategy. You will be required to take full responsibility of all project administration, preparation of corporate engagements and ESD related reporting activities. You will be required to integrate into the supply chain team, gaining full visibility of sourcing initiatives to identify potential ESD opportunities and other supply chain requests such as market research as well as providing administrative support for the client’s ESD digital platform while driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform all administration associated with the ESD function which includes preparation of minutes of meetings, agendas and meeting packs
• Integrate with supply chain to ensure that there is consistent implementation, monitoring and reporting of ESD through efficient tracking systems and reporting processes
• Manage the ESD digital platform which will be key to interacting with the local communities and enabling them to access ESD support initiatives from the client
• Extract requests that originate from the ESD Digital Platform when required, segment the requests and obtain sign off from the client to proceed with requests
• Collect required documentation when required from beneficiaries and validate as per the company’s vendor management process
• Coordinate the process of adding a subset of new suppliers to the vendor management system. Obtain approval from the vendor management committees to add new ESD Suppliers
• Assist with all supplier queries as and when they arise and provide sufficient feedback within required SLAs.
• Assist local suppliers with portal registration (telephonically, via email or in person)
• Perform supplier due-diligence through desktop analysis or in-person site visits and supplier interviews.
• Co-ordinate and manage the end-to-end opportunity workflow on the ESD Digital Portal. 

Co-ordinate data collection for monthly dashboard reporting

• Support research efforts for opportunity identification for ESD and B-BBEE transactions with, strategic, non-strategic suppliers and new entrants in the market across selected commodities
• Prepare SWOT, industry, value chain and competitor analysis when required
• Assist in the preparation of enterprise and supplier development proposals and presentations
• Where required, aid in supply and demand analysis for category sourcing events
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual local supplier capability maps by location, commodity, etc. 
• Prepare the ESD and B-BBEE sections of supply chain’s Sourcing Strategies, RFQs and RFPs and oversee the execution of end to end ESD initiative implementation
• Create and manage partnerships with third party service providers that will be tasked with the implementation of SME support initiatives
• Track implementation of ESD support initiatives across a sub-set of the client’s operations and collate reports as required by the client
• Assist in setting up and manning the ESD stand(s) at exhibitions, conferences and seminars
• Conduct and support select ESD training initiatives for ESD policies and procedures to drive compliance across the client’s operations
• Ensure that the client’s ESD supplier database is constantly updated and that the SLAs are current
• Manage all request for PR, success stories and other related initiatives that originates from the ESD Digital
• Essential - Relevant Bachelor’s Degree (3years / 360 Credits)
• 3-5 Years’ experience in Supply Chain
• CIPS qualification will be an added advantage
• Knowledge of PPPFA, BBBEE and other applicable legislation relevant to Petroleum and Gas industry, Supply Chain and Procurement in Enterprise and Supplier Development
