Job Description
OMAI is seeking a talented, experienced specialist to provide environmental, social and governance (ESG) data management and sustainability reporting support to the ESG Team.
A critical part of the ESG work in the business is coordinating and management of ESG data, utilising OMAI’s ESG data management system, and the coordination and delivery of various ESG/sustainability reporting to clients and stakeholders.
You will be responsible for:
Coordination and driving data collection from underlying investments across the group
Management of data into the ESG data management system
Tracking the analysis of ESG data and support with data analytics
Undertaking thematic ESG research
Research into global ESG data
Coordination and tracking of all ESG reporting requirements
Preparation of ESG reports, including various investor reports, public reporting, compliance reporting, reporting to global associations and overall sustainability reporting
Training of OMAI staff in aspects of ESG data, analytics and reporting
Supporting the team unlocking positive ESG impacts in investments
Coordination of ESG data with other financial data sets
Assisting asset managers in monitoring and influencing the assets in the implementation of their ESG obligations
Preparation of responses to ad-hoc investor/shareholder ESG queries
Support in driving the ESG strategy and ESMS management system
Support in ensuring funds’ compliance with ESG requirements
Relevant qualifications
5 years relevant experience
Project and program management skills
Understanding and working knowledge of UNPRI, Equator Principles, IFC Performance Standards, IFC EHS Guidelines, ILO, UN SDGs and any other relevant ESG performance standards
Knowledge of impact investing
Experience and proficiency with data management systems
Knowledge of ESG data metrics
Experience and knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks such as the Integrated Reporting Framework and UN SDG Framework. Relevant experience in sustainability reporting
Exposure to ESG aspects associated with capital intensive infrastructure projects, impact investing and private market investments
Ability to manage third party consultants (set terms of reference, review proposals, make appointments, manage budgets)
Ability to critically review and integrate information
Ability to influence for successful data collection
Ability to present information in a written and/or verbal form, in a concise manner
Experience in working across cultures in several countries
Self-driven – self-motivated and results driven
