Estimating Analyst at RPO Recruitment

Job Description

• A leading manufacturing company is looking for an experienced Estimating Analyst with a strong background in cost analysis, pricing, budgeting, and production cost management.
• The successful candidate will support finance, operations, sales, and production teams by providing accurate costing information, pricing support, and recommendations to improve profitability and cost efficiency.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse production, labour, overhead, and raw material costs.
• Monitor time-capture data and investigate or correct discrepancies.
• Prepare variance analyses comparing actual costs to standard costs.
• Conduct ad-hoc cost and pricing analyses as required.
• Maintain and update costing databases and related records.
• Assist with the creation and maintenance of bills of materials (BOMs).
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and product cost estimation activities.
• Collaborate with production, procurement, sales, and customer service teams to validate cost information and provide pricing support.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, financial regulations, and audit requirements.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities and recommend process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Requirements:

• Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Accounting, Estimating, Finance, or related Degree/Diploma.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a costing, estimating, or financial analysis role.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Experience with costing or ERP systems; Radius experience would be advantageous.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment.
