Our client is seeking an experienced ETQA Manager to oversee quality assurance across education and training programmes. This role will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards and legislation, managing accreditation processes, and maintaining effective relationships with key regulatory and industry stakeholders.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop, implement and continuously improve ETQA policies, procedures and business processes.
Oversee quality assurance processes for learning programmes, including programme monitoring, site visits and verification of learner achievements.
Manage the accreditation of Skills Development Providers (SDPs) and Training and Assessment Centres (TACs).
Ensure compliance with relevant national and sector-specific regulations, including the NQF Act.
Oversee learner registration, verification and certification processes, including the issuing of certificates and Statements of Results (SORs).
Manage the departmental budget and ensure resources are used effectively to achieve ETQA objectives.
Prepare and present reports to senior management, governing bodies and external stakeholders.
Prepare for and participate in internal and external audits, while supporting effective risk management and quality management practices.
Build and maintain strong relationships with industry bodies, government structures, SETAs, QCTO and service providers.
Provide leadership and direction to the ETQA function and supporting staff member.
REQUIREMENTS
Matric / Grade 12.
Degree in Training and Education, Quality Assurance or a related field.
5–7 years’ experience in Training Quality Assurance or a related environment.
At least 5 years’ experience in Monitoring and Evaluation or related administrative functions.
Strong knowledge of sector regulatory compliance and SETA requirements.
Strong computer literacy, including MS Office and database systems.
Project Management training or certification will be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Excellent organisational, reporting and stakeholder management skills.
