    Executive Head: Mea Regional Operations

    Role Purpose

    The Executive Head: MEA Regional Operations role based within Business Commercial & Operations.

    To Do This, You And Your Team Will Serve As The Regional Leads For
    In this role you will be engaging with the Middle East & Africa Sales Management teams on key sales areas including performance management, tools, targeting and commissions. You will also provide key sales insights that will drive the business forward.

    • Ensuring sales leaders and representatives understand key processes, such as account allocation, target setting, and pipeline management, among others, in order to support a culture of operational excellence
    • Keeping systems up to date, making sure that allocations or hierarchy (base management) reflect where sales team members are applying effort
    • Distributing sales targets that are objective and challenge our teams to execute against our strategy
    • Supporting sales in understanding the commissions scheme and directing their questions or disputes to make sure they are correctly compensated
    • Making sure sales and other key stakeholders understand the data contained in reports and tools, providing accurate and timely key performance indicators
    • Partnering with sales and other business leaders as a trusted business advisor, providing useful insights that will increase focus, detect areas of improvement and risks, and ultimately maximise business performance

    Your Responsibilities Will Include
    Analysis & Insights

    • Analyse the many available sources of data, identify existing gaps and propose improvement actions that have effect on sales performance

    Commissions

    • Ensure the commissions scheme is well understood and serve as a point of contact for questions or disputes, working closely with commissions review boards and worker’s councils where applicable

    Reporting

    • Ensuring reports reflect reality and impart understanding to senior leadership to understand the data, risks, and impacts

    Targets

    • Ensure objective targets are distributed across all sales teams and advise Sales on the insights/understanding

    Tools Adoption

    • Ensure regional sales teams understand how to use global sales tools to impact performance and create a culture of operational excellence. Serve as a point of contact for feedback and continuous improvement.

    The Ideal Candidate For This Role Will Have

    • Matric – Essential
    • 3 year Business related Degree or National Diploma essential or MBA.

    Minimum 2 Years Of Experience In Telecommunications Industry

    • Minimum 5 years of experience in multi-national, multi-region team management, with proven ability to execute within matrix organisations
    • Minimum 2 years working in customer support / operations
    • University degree with a high preference for Masters in Business Administration
    • Knowledge of the telecommunications and ICT environment, ideally mobile, fixed and IT solutions experience
    • Experience working on sales and customer support levels (e.g. Sales, Commercial, Business Strategy, Customer Support)
    • Operational credibility proven through experience by working in sales-facing functions
    • Strong analytical skills – ability to gather and cross check data, arrive at conclusions, and recommend actions that will improve sales performance
    • Strong communication skills – able to explain processes and tools, adapting communications and approaches to increase awareness and adoption
