Executive Head Of Department: Digital Regulation at Vodacom

The main purpose of the role is to apply knowledge and understanding of the external regulatory environment in defining and managing the Company’s digital regulatory roadmap (4IR) as well as influencing appropriate external policy stakeholder and structures, in the best interests of Vodacom.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Develop and lead the implementation of digital regulatory strategies and implementation plans.
• Prepare Company submissions to the appropriate policy and regulatory bodies including artificial intelligence, big data analytics, net neutrality, Internet of Things and Machine to Machine (4IR).
• Provide digital regulatory guidance to relevant internal stakeholders within the Company i.e. BU’s, EXCO and Board.
• Formulate anddrive digital regulatory compliance throughout the Company
• Provide regulatory digital support to Company strategy and risk mitigation initiatives
• Engage with and influence external digital regulatory stakeholders including but not limited to ICASA, DTPS.
• Engage with key Vodacom and Vodafone stakeholders on digital regulatory issues including Strategy and Business Development as well as Digital business functions
• Serve on various enterprise technical regulatory councils and advisory panels (locally and internationally)
