A senior leadership opportunity for an experienced recoveries and legal collections professional to take ownership of a high-volume, asset-backed recovery function within a complex, performance-driven environment.
Minimum requirements:
Economics or Degree in Commerce, LLB advantageous (postgraduate qualification advantageous)
Minimum 7 years’ experience, with at least 5 years in senior legal collections management
Strong commercial and strategic leadership skills
Experience in high-volume recoveries and legal environments
Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and drive performance
Strong understanding of commercial principles within asset-backed recoveries, including portfolio performance, profitability, cost-to-collect and return on investment
Ability to assess and implement commercially viable recovery strategies based on the value, risk and recoverability of assets
Define and drive recovery strategies across portfolios
Oversee call centre collections and legal escalation decisions
Manage end-to-end legal recovery processes
Optimise asset recovery across movable and immovable assets
Manage external attorney firms and performance
Drive ROI, cost-to-collect, recovery rates and overall portfolio performance
Ensure strong governance, compliance and stakeholder alignment
