We are seeking an experienced Export Area Manager to drive sales growth, increase market share, and expand the company’s footprint across Sub-Saharan Africa.
This role requires both a hunter mindset to secure new business and strong account management skills to retain and grow existing customersYou will be responsible for developing and executing export strategies, managing compliance and governance requirements, and ensuring customer satisfaction through effective stock, debtors, and stakeholder management.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, or related field (NQF 7).
Experience
6–8 years’ Sales & Marketing experience in a manufacturing environment.
Minimum 3 years’ exposure to SSA export markets.
Strong track record in achieving export sales targets.
Technical Skills
Proficiency in MS Office Suite, SAP, ERP systems.
Strong business case preparation, budgeting, and reporting ability.
Knowledge of export compliance, governance, and risk management.
Other Skills
Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and presentation abilities.
Ability to collaborate across departments and with international stakeholders.
Preferred Skills
Innovative approach to marketing and promotions.
Experience in customer retention strategies and stakeholder engagement.
Demonstrated ability to balance commercial targets with compliance and governance.
