Expression of Interest : Lecturer (IIE Bachelor of Physiotheraphy at ADvTECH

Minimum Qualification : 

For Specialised Physiotherapy Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Physiotherapy / Rehabilitation Sciences / Clinical Sciences related to physiotherapy.
• Registration and compliance as a professional physiotherapist with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
• Preferred: At least two years of lecturing experience in physiotherapy and clinical physiotherapy, as well as clinical supervision and mentoring experience.

 For Professional Health Development Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Physiotherapy / Health Sciences / Public Health / Education (with a focus on Health Sciences or Professional Development).
• Registration and compliance as a professional physiotherapist with the HPCSA.
• Preferred: At least two years of lecturing experience and experience in professional development and student supervision.

 For Anatomy and Physiology Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Anatomy / Physiology / Biomedical Sciences / Health Sciences / Physiotherapy or a related allied health discipline.
• Preferred: Experience in anatomy labs, clinical practice, and at least two years of lecturing experience in higher education.

 For Medical Microbiology & Anatomical Pathology Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Pathology / Microbiology / Biomedical Sciences / Health Sciences.
• Preferred: Experience in clinical microbiology or pathology laboratories and at least two years of lecturing experience.

 For Pharmacology Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Pharmacology / Clinical Pharmacology / Biomedical Sciences with a pharmacological focus / Medicine / Pharmacy.
• Preferred: At least two years of lecturing experience and professional experience in clinical pharmacology, medicine, or pharmaceutical sciences.

 For Research Methodology in Healthcare Modules:

• A Master’s degree in Research Methodology / Healthcare Sciences / Physiotherapy / Medicine / Public Health / Epidemiology.
• Preferred: Research expertise, proficiency in statistical tools, and at least two years of experience in teaching and supervising research projects.

Work Experience:

• Lecturing experience in the specific modules within the Bachelor of Physiotherapy programme would be advantageous. 
• Must be registered and compliant Physiotherapist with the HPCSA, with experience in professional development in terms of supervising physiotherapy students and mentoring during clinical placements.
