Exxaro Aga Setshaba NPC Ops Manager at Exxaro Resources

Minimum Requirements    
QUALIFICATIONS:

• B Degree (Hons) (Relevant) (Essential/Minimum or)
• BCom (Hons) Business Management (Essential/Minimum)
• Certificate Project Management (Essential/Minimum)
• Management Development Programme (Essential/Minimum)
• Master of Business Administration (Recommended/Desirable)

EXPERIENCE: 

• Approx. 10 years’ experience in Social Development Management, monitoring and reporting. In depth knowledge of the following legislations: Mining Charter and BBBEE- gazetted in 2007.
• King Code of Governance for South Africa 2009. Strong operational results orientation, a verified track record of delivery, and proven ability to manage a variety of suppliers to deliver goals of the NPC. Strong business, financial and analytical acumen.
• Proven ability to navigate complex systems and transactions, including experience working with senior management and Board Members to secure financing for short-, medium- and long-term goals.
• Experience in managing people. Strong written and spoken communication skills, preferably multilingual. (Essential/Minimum) Management

Duties & Responsibilities    
Ideal Candidate Profile (Includes but not limited to):

Ability to:

• Reporting to Exxaro’s Chief Sustainable Impact Officer, this role will be accountable for the overall success of the Exxaro Aga Setshaba Not for Profit Company (NPC). 
• Together with the Board of Directors, the Operations Manager will be accountable for developing and implementing the NPC’s strategy, strategic collaborations, managing daily operations and policy imperatives. 
• The Operations Manager must ensure the relevance of the NPC for multiple stakeholders, including industry, donors, government, SMEs, civil society and most importantly, host communities. 
• Essentially, this role has overall accountability with the Board for the NPC’s sustainability, as a NPC. 
• The Operations Manager is required to interface closely with all key stakeholders, including directors, regulators, alumni, fund managers, funders, and potential funders, inter alia.
• The role will be expected to promote the NPC and its offerings, as well as policy and strategy formulation and implementation, and budgetary and financial oversight. 
• Ensure all projects are planned, implemented, reported and monitored according to Project Management Institute Governance. To ensure transformation strategy integration of the fund and delivery aligned to Exxaro to ensure delivery of ESG and Just Transitions objectives in order to protect and enhance the Company’s commercial and reputation interests
