    EY Cape Town - Campus Recruiter and Talent Supervising Associate

    The opportunity 

    As a Campus Recruiter Supervising Associate, you will own recruiting responsibilities throughout a specific market, including various events and programs. You will be part of a collaborative team with high visibility to leadership and the opportunity to network with a wide array of stakeholders and influencers. You will be acting as an ambassador for EY, so our reputation for excellence and innovation will be in your hands. You will be bringing future leaders into the firm while having the opportunity to grow and build your career.     Your key responsibilities 

    You will take on a wide range of responsibilities in your role as Campus Recruiter and Talent Supervising Associate.

     

    Campus Recruiter:

    • Owning headcount

    • Facilitating, and attending campus recruiting events

    • Managing programs around diversity and initiatives 

    • You will work closely with business leaders to develop recruiting strategies for local, regional, and national markets.

    • Building talent pipeline

     

    Talent Supervising Associate:

    • Understand and influence business strategy and drive the Talent/people agenda

    • Respond to complex and urgent Talent queries from stakeholders, leverage experience across Talent ecosystem to provide guidance and address Talent matters.

    • Where required, handle employee relation matters, consulting with the key stakeholders to resolve issues

    • Capable of working independently

    • Where required, prepare presentations, and reports as requested by business leadership to support strategic priorities

     

    Skills and attributes for success:

    • You will be managing a diverse array of talent projects, headcount and events so strong organizational skills and attention to detail are key.  You will have the ability to build and nurture long term relationships with internal and external stakeholders. You will need to be creative and innovative in developing sourcing strategies that attract talent and focus on diversity initiatives.   

    • Business and commercial acumen – ability to understand business imperatives and consider the implications for Talent

    • Significant relationship management skills – ability to work with, challenge and advise a business partner

    • Consulting skills - ability to understand business challenges, assess issues/opportunities and propose solutions

    • Project/Change – sound knowledge of project management and change management methods and application

    • Strong cultural awareness - ability work in globally dispersed teams and with networks across diverse geographies and apply a global mindset to working effectively with others

    • Talent management services, associated processes, and best practices, including employee relations

    • Teaming skills - partner effectively across talent ecosystem and wider EY firm

    • Communication skills – ability to convey complex issues succinctly and clearly in a timely way

    • Organizational skills - the ability to set priorities, operate within budget and effective time frames

    • Cope with ambiguity - to drive change and performance outcomes in a complex and agile environment

     

    To qualify for the role, you must have 

    • A proven record of success in talent attraction and retention 

    • A broad understanding of recruitment laws and practices

    • General understanding in compensation practices and benefit laws and practices

    • Experience managing and planning multiple events

    • Strong knowledge of computer programs (i.e., Microsoft Office) including applicant tracking systems (i.e., Yello)

    • Strong communication skills including large scale speaking engagements

    • 5-7 plus years of related experience

    • A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

    Ideally, you will also have 

    • Experience working within professional services or large matrix corporate environment 

    • Experience supervising small teams and providing counseling  

    • Analytical skills to interpret and react to complex and constantly evolving data
