Facilitator - Motion Graphics and Animated Content at Red & Yellow School

We are on the hunt for a Motion Graphics and Animated Content Facilitator/Knowledge Expert/Marker

Job Summary

• Red & Yellow’s Online Education team is on the hunt for a part-time, well qualified, seasoned Motion Graphics and Animated Content professional well versed in Adobe After Effects, with plenty of experience in virtual facilitation and a passion for sharing their knowledge.
• This role will provide you an excellent opportunity to support and enhance the learning journeys of talented Red & Yellow learners/students. It primarily entails assisting in developing and delivering workshop/tutorial/lecture content through virtual channels and other digital tools. In this role, you would form an integral component of learning programme roll out for learners/students enrolled in Motion Graphics and Animated Content short course(s).
• You would work closely with, and be supported by, a reliable Course Coordinator, in tandem with a well-versed Instructional Design team.
• As this is a contract/part-time position, this role would best suit Motion Graphics and Animated Content professionals who are employed in a part-time capacity or those who are freelancers.

Key Responsibilities and Duties

• Deliver/facilitate engaging and interactive virtual tutorial sessions once a week using Zoom and/or Teams
• Develop and facilitate assignment support sessions to assist learners/students in the successful completion of their assignments (ad-hoc basis)
• Be available to timeously respond to learner/student queries via email (ad-hoc basis with a 24-hour turnaround time)
• Be available for learner/student consultation sessions on assignments as needed (ad-hoc basis)
• Mark and provide feedback on assignments
• Log detailed feedback from the students regarding the course

Qualifications, Requirements and Skills

• Relevant tertiary qualification, with a focus on either Motion Graphics, Animation, or a related field (NQF level 5 or higher)
• Minimum two years of rigorous and demonstrable experience, as well as a portfolio of your work
• Minimum one year of teaching experience
• Proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, and Media Encoder
• Proficiency in Zoom and/or Microsoft Teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong project and time management skills
• Flexibility in your schedule

Technical Requirements:

• Own laptop equipped with webcam and microphone of reasonable standard
• Stable, reliable internet
• Quiet working/presentation space

Advantageous

Time Commitment

• Approximately 5 hours of student support or tuts per week, over a ten week course period.
• Approximately 10 hours per month with regards to marking assignments
